Galei Tzahal is a national radio station which operates within the framework of the IDF, as a unit of the manpower division. The station's commander is Shimon Elkavetz. The station's broadcasts daily news, current affairs, music and cultural programs, as well as music shows, military and security magazines, and more. Among the station's most prominent programs are: "Boker Tov Israel", "Nachon LehaBoker", "Ma Boer", "HaMila HaAchrona", and more. Galei Tzahal's studio is located in Yafo in Yehuda HaYamit street since 1958. The station also operates studios in Beit HaChayal in Jerusalem , named after the reporter and military man Amiram Nir.
